One building, a lot of miles

Our Story: Route Twelve to the High Road

Before it was County Road, this spot on CR-12 packed onions and then fed the neighborhood as a deli. Here's how it got from there to here.

    Farm years

    An onion packing shed

Locals remember this building as a packing shed for the Black Dirt region, the dark, rich farmland around Pine Island and Florida that has grown onions for generations. The road out front carried the harvest.

    King's Deli

Tony Pandher ran King's Deli here for years, a regular stop for people driving CR-12. The family went on to run gas stations and convenience stores around Middletown, and kept this building.

    Barn red, roof green

In 2024 the family put roughly $300,000 into renovation and security. The building came out with barn-red walls, a green standing-seam roof, a stacked-stone base, gooseneck lights over the sign, and a freshly paved lot.

    Lab-tested, NY-licensed

We buy from New York State farmers and processors, so everything on the shelf was grown and made in this state and tested before it's sold.

Black ceiling, oversized LED light frames, polished floors and a long glass case down the middle of the room. The lotus on the wall is our logo: a farmhouse and two winding roads tucked inside a leaf, which is pretty much the story of this place.

Take your time. Our budtenders would rather find the right product than the fastest sale, and regulars tell us they come back for exactly that. Browse in person, or reserve online and we'll have it waiting.

    A Family-Owned Orange County Dispensary

County Road is run by the Pandher family, who have owned businesses around Middletown for years, with cannabis attorney Wei Hu as a partner. Director of Operations Navkiran Pandher came to the store from public service and social-justice work, not from the cannabis industry.

Was this building really a barn?
